Star's Cups Runneth Over In Charity Flight

In ALL ACCESS' unparalleled effort to keep you abreast of all the pertinent news, FISHER BROADCASTING Hot AC KPLZ (STAR 101.5)/SEATTLE "KENT AND ALAN Morning Show" producer LEONARD BAROKAS will be taking to the skies again on THURSDAY, OCT. 11th for his annual "Bras Across LAKE WASHINGTON" parasail glide in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Star listeners have been donating their bras for three weeks. "Each year we get calls from women who have seen the flight and make their mammogram appointments allowing for early detection," said morning show duo KENT AND ALAN. "That is what makes this event so rewarding." (Not to mention it promises to be so unforgettable that it should linger long in your mammary, but you didn't read that here....)
The bras will be tied to BAROKAS and the parasail line, which will take them all high over the 520 and I-90 bridges to help raise awareness about breast cancer and remind people of the importance of early detection through regular self-examinations and mammograms. Several STAR 101.5 listeners have dedicated the flight in honor of or in memory of a specific loved one who has been impacted by this disease; these names will be read on STAR 101.5 while Leonard is in flight.
As part of this Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, STAR 101.5 sponsored a "Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer" event at MAGNUSON PARK this past SUNDAY (10/7) and raised over $235,000 for breast cancer research.
This parasail will go on weather permitting. Apparently, some of those bras may be underwires, and a lightning storm in the area could lead to some shocking developments.
