Howie Carr Asks To Work For Competitor While Appeal Pends

HOWIE CARR has filed an appeal in his attempt to free himself from ENTERCOM Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON, and is asking the appeals court to allow him to work for crosstown GREATER MEDIA Talk WTKK while the appeals are pending.
SUFFOLK Superior Court Judge ALLAN VAN GESTEL's ruling upheld WRKO's right to match WTKK's offer and bind CARR to WRKO for another five year term. The filing by CARR's lawyers asks for permission to appeal the case to a panel before the trial case has been finalized and charges that the judge's ruling that CARR could not legally accept an offer from WTKK before SEPTEMBER 20th, the day after his contract expired, is an "absurd and impractical" application of the law.
