KEX Hosts Caught Between Sam Adams And 'Sam Adams'

CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KEX-A/PORTLAND afternoon team MARK MASON and DAVE ANDERSON are caught between two guys named SAM ADAMS after their support for one drew the legal wrath of the other.
It all started when MARK and DAVE decided to buy two Internet domains, samadamsformayor.com and mayorsamadams.com, to give to PORTLAND City Commissioner SAM ADAMS as a gift while he pondered running for Mayor. Within weeks of registerting the domains, a letter from the BOSTON BEER COMPANY arrived threatening legal action for copyright infringement, claiming the trademark for "SAM ADAMS" for its SAMUEL ADAMS beer.
The hosts have put the issue to their listeners with an online poll asking, "Should MARK and DAVE cease and desist or fight back?" As of early TUESDAY, the votes are 95.64% in favor of "Fight back. They must be drunk."
