SAGA COMMUNICATIONS hires TONY FLORENTINO as PD of WSNY (SUNNY 95)/COLUMBUS. FLORENTINO will begin his duties MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12th.
"After an exhaustive search -- interviewing over 20 highly-qualified people -- I feel TONY is the best person for the job," said Pres./GM ALAN GOODMAN. "He brings a myriad of experience to SUNNY’s AC format and will be a very good brand manager for such a heritage station."
FLORENTINO comes to COLUMBUS from NAPLES, FL, where he’s been VP/Operations for MARSHALL ARTS COMMUNICATIONS. "I knew it would take a special opportunity to lure me away from MARSHALL ARTS, and the chance to program the legendary WSNY is as special as they come. STEVE GOLDSTEIN and ALAN GOODMAN are legendary strategists, and they're both genuinely nice people. I'm looking forward to living, laughing and most importantly, winning in COLUMBUS," FLORENTINO said.
"We were looking for someone who can balance science and art and TONY most certainly fits that bill," said SAGA EVP/Programming STEVE GOLDSTEIN.
