Clear Channel/Seattle Back On Air After Construction Mishap

Sports KJR-A, Top 40/Rhythmic KUBE and three other CLEAR CHANNEL stations in SEATTLE were knocked off the air yesterday when a lower QUEEN ANNE construction project snuffed out fiber optic T1 and copper telephone lines.
The lines went dead at about 11a, interrupting radio broadcasts for various periods of time, KJR-A PD RICH MOORE tole THE SEATTLE TIMES.
The stations were operating on their back-up systems as the telephone company was making repairs THURSDAY afternoon. KJR-A was back on the air after 2 1/2 hours, Moore said.
