WESTWOOD ONE's LARS LARSON show will be available on demand to cell phone users through CELLECAST. Users will also be able to record comments for the show and instantly send them to LARSON.
"I'm thrilled to make our program available in such a way that people can time-shift to get the show when they want it and listen more easily," said LARSON.
"We are excited to be able to bring LARS LARSON to an even greater nationwide audience with CELLECAST," said WW1 Chief Digital Media Officer GARY KRANTZ. "Not only will listeners have the opportunity to hear LARS on demand, but LARS himself will be able to hear opinions and feedback directly from his fans."
"We are extremely pleased to have LARS as our debut content partner," said CELLECAST Founder/CEO ANDREW DEAL. "By leading the talk media industry in pioneering with us into cell phone radio, LARS and WESTWOOD ONE are not only setting a precedent in the evolution of talk media, but opening up LARS'audience to include anyone capable of dialing a phone number. This opens up the mainstream demographic in ways other mobile initiatives can’t, since the tool is at hand and the accessibility process is thoroughly familiar to the listener."
