The FCC rejects ROY HENDERSON's application to move the city of license of his AC daytimer KNUZ-A (LITE FM, simulcasting sister KLTR/BRENHAM, TX) from BELLVILLE to KATY, TX. The Commission notes that such a move would eliminate BELLVILLE's only station in favor of the larger HOUSTON suburb, and rejected HENDERSON's argument that KATY was more deserving due to its size and that the move SOUTH would eliminate signal overlap between KNUZ and CBS News-Talk KRLD-A/DALLAS.
In other FCC actions, the Commission issued proposed fines for late license renewal applications of $7,000 to DONALD DE ROSA (WAMF-A/FULTON, NY); $1,500 each to TWIN CITY BAPTIST TEMPLE, INC. (WCMX-A/LEOMINSTER, MA) and CUTTING EDGE BROADCASTING, INC. (WEIB/NORTHAMPTON, MA) ; and $250 to NEWPORT MUSICAL ARTS ASSOCIATION (WXHQ-LP/NEWPORT, RI).
