FCC Restores Colorado Station's License

The FCC revives LIMON BROADCASTING, LLC's license for Classic Hits KIIQ/LIMON, CO, but admonishes the licensee for operating the station after its license had expired. The Commission found that the licensee should have known to file a renewal application and should not have operated without authorization, but noted that since the station was issued a license to cover after the deadline for renewal, deviating from a Commission policy of withholding action on license applications during the four-month renewal window, the station will not be fined.
The Commission also issued proposed fines of $250 to WASHINGTON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (WBLQ-LP/ASHAWAY, RI) and $500 to THE LACEY COMPANY (K262AB/WALKERVILLE, MT) and SINCLAIR TELECABLE, INC. (K238AF/SANTA ROSA, CA) for failure to timely file renewal applications, but granted the license renewals of each station.
