PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS has inked GLENN BECK to a contract extension. BECK went into syndication in 2002 after doing shows nationally after 9/11.
BECK said, "We're very excited to extend our relationship with PREMIERE and CLEAR CHANNEL. In just six years, we have attracted one of the largest and most passionate fan bases in all of radio. We look forward to building off that success and working with our loyal listeners, affiliates and advertisers to continue creating an entertaining, informative and engaging show well into the next decade."
PREMIERE President CHARLIE RAHILLY added, "GLENN is a tremendous talent who has that special ability to authentically connect with his listeners on a very personal level. We look forward to continuing to grow our business together in the years to come."
The NEW YORK TIMES is reporting in TODAY's editions that BECK's contract extension is for five years and can reach $50 million.
BECK, according to the TIMES, now trails only fellow PREMIERE host RUSH LIMBAUGH and CITADEL/ABC RADIO NETWORKS host SEAN HANNITY on the list of highest-paid talkers on terrestrial radio.
