CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WLW-A/CINCINNATI inks a five year contract extension to remain the flagship for CINCINNATI REDS baseball. The station has aired the REDS games since 1969 and heads a 6 state, 46 affiliate network. Hall of Famer MARTY BRENNAMAN, his son THOM BRENNAMAN, and former pitcher JEFF BRANTLEY will return to the radio booth for 2008.
"WLW Radio and the REDS have been linked together for almost 40 years, and our fans are passionate about both," said REDS President and Chief Executive Officer BOB CASTELLINI. "We’re excited about continuing one of the best broadcast partnerships in sports."
"This new agreement continues one of the longest running partnerships in professional sports. 700WLW was there with the REDS' Big Red Machine, for the 1990 World Series wire to wire team and we will be there when the REDS win their next championship," said CC VP/Market Manager CHUCK FREDRICK. "We are very proud to have the REDS as partners."
