Fake Brady Story Stirs Boston Reaction For Opie And Anthony

The NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS aren't pleased with the morning show on their flagship station, CBS Alternative WBCN/BOSTON, where the syndicated OPIE AND ANTHONY show celebrated their "Make Stuff Up TUESDAY" bit with a fake story announcing that TOM BRADY had been suspended for steroid use.
Despite the hosts saying in advance on the air that the story was a fake, the BOSTON HERALD reports that some fans called the newspaper to find out about the story and "TOM BRADY suspended" led searches on GOOGLE. The furor recalled the infamous APRIL FOOL'S incident in which O&A, then at WAAF/BOSTON, reported that Mayor THOMAS MENINO had been killed in a car crash, a bit that led to their firing (and subsequent hiring at WNEW/NEW YORK).
PATS spokesperson STACEY JAMES told the HERALD that the team has "notified our legal department."
