WESTWOOD ONE has inked a group-wide deal to provide CITADEL BROADCASTING station websites with online traffic and news services. Fifty CITADEL sites will offer WESTWOOD ONE and MAPTUIT's online interactive traffic service REALTRAFFIC starting by JANUARY 1st, 2008, and over 200 CITADEL sites will add METROWEBNEWS as of the same date.
"This partnership with CITADEL represents our largest distribution deal of our key METRO assets with any media entity to date," said WW1 Chief Digital Media Officer GARY KRANTZ. "As CITADEL aggressively rolls out their digital platform, we are excited to work closely with CITADEL INTERACTIVE to create compelling local content to their growing list of radio station websites. We look forward to working with them on additional distribution and products going forward in 2008."
"This partnership is a tremendous step forward in providing our listeners on-demand access to news and real-time traffic in the digital arena," said JOHN ROSSO, SVP Digital Media at CITADEL. "This is also great news for advertisers. This enhanced web experience will translate into more traffic and a more engaging experience for our online customers."
