Spencer Phillips Gets Signed

ALL ACCESS sends congratulations out to former KPLZ (STAR 101.5)/SEATTLE board-op SPENCER PHILLIPS and his band DANGER RADIO, who recently signed a deal with PHOTO FINISH RECORDS.

DANGER RADIO's EP has already hit Top 10 on the iTUNES charts, and they have tenatively agreed to go in the studio with producers TIMBALAND and MAX MARTIN to record their full-length record scheduled for release in the fall of 2008. The release will coincide with dates on the summer WARP TOUR. In addition, their upcoming tour in early 2008 will be sponsored by PAC-SUN and KORG instruments.

On a side note, SPENCER is also the son of KPLZ PD/morning man KENT PHILLIPS, who was thrilled when SPENCER called from college to tell him that he was postponing his education to pursue a career in the music business. But according to KENT, "SPENCER's mother had mixed feelings. She was afraid her son would be involved in 'Sex, Drugs and Rock-N-Roll." SPENCER responded: "Just two out of three, mom?"
