Neil Rogers: I'm Available. WQAM: Er, Not Yet

NEIL ROGERS has put himself on the market after failing to reach agreement with his present employer, BEASLEY Sports WQAM-A/MIAMI.
ROGERS' agent, attorney NORM KENT, tells ALL ACCESS that ROGERS, the longtime fixture on SOUTH FLORIDA radio, "is a free agent in the radio market and I am entertaining legitimate offers from any comers, and screening and evaluating them. NEIL's preference is to move swiftly and secure a permanent position in either terrestrial or satellite radio. Any owner looking for large number and strong revenues can call me at my law office, (954) 763-1900."
And in response to ROGERS' "Declaration of Independence," BEASLEY VP/Market Manager and WQAM GM JOE BELL tells ALL ACCESS, "He may be declaring himself a free agent, but he is under contract with WQAM through the end of 2008."
ROGERS has been a ratings leader in the market since 1976 and has worked at WKAT-A, WNWS-A, WINZ-A, WZTA, WIOD-A, and WQAM.
