MEDIA MONITORS has released its chart of the "12 Songs of CHRISTMAS" as monitored on 105 stations playing CHRISTMAS music, and the number one song is BURL IVES' "Holly Jolly CHRISTMAS." played 2,622 times The jolly one is followed on the chart by JOSE FELICIANO's "Feliz Navidad," JOHN LENNON's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," NAT KING COLE's "The CHRISTMAS Song," the EAGLES' "Please Come Home For CHRISTMAS," BING CROSBY's "White CHRISTMAS," BRENDA LEE's "Rockin' Around the CHRISTMAS Tree," MARIAH CAREY's "All I Want For CHRISTMAS Is You," HALL AND OATES' version of "Jingle Bell Rock," the CARPENTERS' "Merry CHRISTMAS Darling," the original "Jingle Bell Rock" by BOBBY HELMS, and JOHNNY MATHIS' "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like CHRISTMAS."
And among the top 10 advertisers on CHRISTMAS music stations are KOHL'S, GEICO, WAL-MART, FAMOUS FOOTWEAR, CAMPBELL'S, WALGREENS, TOYS R US, SEARS, JC PENNEY, and JARED THE GALLERIA OF JEWELRY.
