LFN Sports KKFN (THE FAN)/DENVER presented its’ "Kids with Courage" fundraiser for THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN DENVER, on Thursday, December 20th. SPORTSRADIO 950 THE FAN held an all-day broadcast at the SAFEWAY in HIGHLANDS RANCE, CO. With the help of generous listeners, many corporate sponsors and various sports personalities in the community, KKFN was able to raise nearly $110,000, with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION. The funds will be used to build a state-of-the-art relaxation therapy lounge and place close to 40 children in clinical research studies that are shown to increase pediatric cancer survival rates by up to 30%.
SPORTSRADIO 950 THE FAN PD TIM SPENCE was ecstatic about the support received from the community. "This goes to show that DENVER and its’ surrounding communities are the best when it comes to helping out and making a difference. 'The Kids' at THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL will benefit from the community’s generosity and outpouring of support this holiday season. Thanks to everybody for making a difference."
