Country Radio Helps Out During Holidays

Country radio has always been known for giving back to their communities. And the 2007 holiday season was no exception:
CBS Country WQYK/TAMPA PM Drive duo RANDY & DAVE collected over 20,000 toys in just 36 hours in the 8th annual TOYS FOR TOTS toy drive
LINCOLN FINANCIAL Country KYGO/DENVER made Christmas brighter for 5,400 underprivileged children during their 24th annual KYGO Christmas Crusade.
LOTUS RADIO Country KUUB/RENO, NV collected nearly 3,500 DVDs and CDs and $1,000 in prepaid phone cards for the troops, in their 4th annual "Adopt-a-Troop" promotion.
CITADEL Country KIIM/TUCSON staged their 12th Annual KIIM "Penny Pitch", raising 3,040.373 pennies. That's $30,403.73. The KIIM Penny Pitch goes to the Arizona Children's Association and their Family Emergency Fund.
CLEAR CHANNEL Country KASE/AUSTIN collected nearly 29,000 coats in their annual KASE 101 Coats For Kids Drive
COX/HOUSTON, including Country KKBQ raised over $2.1 million in their 4th Annual Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon.
SUNBURST MEDIA Country KCIL/HOUMA, LA raised more than $10,000 and a tractor trailer full of toys for Toys For Tots. It was their 2nd Annual drive for Toys For Tots.
CBS Country WUSN/Chicago once again raised the bar with over $1.8 million pledged for the ST. JUDE CHIDREN'S REASEARCH HOSPITAL during its 17th annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon.
