Glenn Ferguson Dies; Headed Radio Free Europe

Condolences to family and friends of diplomat, educator, and former RADIO FREE EUROPE-RADIO LIBERTY President GLENN FERGUSON, who died of cancer at his SANTA FE home on DECEMBER 20th at 78.
FERGUSON had served as Director of VISTA, Ambassador to KENYA, Chancellor at LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY, and President of CLARK UNIVERSITY and the UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT when he was named President of RFE-RL in 1978. He served in the post until 1982, when he left to become President of LINCOLN CENTER, leaving that post after only nine months and later serving as President of the AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF PARIS and writing five books.
