The FCC has denied a petition by LLOYD ROACH to deny the license renewals of several PENNSYLVANIA stations owned by subsidiaries of ROUTE 81 RADIO, of which ROACH holds a minority interest. ROACH alleged several improprieties at GROUP A LICENSEE, LLC's WCOJ-A/COATESVILLE-WEST CHESTER, PA and at GROUP B LICENSEE, LLC's WCDL-A and WLNP/CARBONDALE, WNAK-A/NANTICOKE, WAZL-A/HAZELTON and WHYL-A/CARLISLE, including tower safety violations, "city-of-license requirements," misrepresentations in an ownership report, and EEO violations, all of which the Commission said ROACH failed to prove or were adequately rebutted by the licensee.
The Commission also denied FULL ARMOR MINISTRIES and the city of VIRGINIA, MN's joint petition for reconsideration of the cancellation of FULL ARMOR's license for WEEP-A/VIRGINIA, MN. FULL ARMOR missed a license renewal filing date and the Commission says that FULL ARMOR has not demonstrated any compelling reason to warrant reconsideration of the license forfeiture.
