SALEM RADIO NETWORK's MIKE GALLAGHER gets a big clearance in WASHINGTON with the addition of CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WTNT-A to his affiliate list. GALLAGHER will be heard noon-3p ET starting FRIDAY (1/4), filling the gap left by the move of PREMIERE's GLENN BECK to crosstown BONNEVILLE Talk WWWT-A-F-WWWB-A (3WT).
"This represents a major home run for MIKE, as the WASHINGTON, D.C. market is one of the toughest to crack in AMERICA for any nationally syndicated program," notes SALEM VP of News and Talk Programming TOM TRADUP.
Gallagher Aids Victims Of Racial Crime
GALLAGHER has also gotten involved in the case of an ARLINGTON, TX couple who found thenselves victims of hate crimes in DECEMBER, donating $500 of his own money to replace the couple's garage doors that were defaced by racial slurs. The new doors were purchased at the ARLINGTON HOME DEPOT and should be installed by FRIDAY. GALLAGHER also plans to raise money from listeners to help SILK LITTLEJOHN and her fiance BRODERICK GAMBLE, who found the spray-painted racial graffiti on their garage doors two days after LITTLEJOHN was allegedly assaulted by a white neighbor who hit her in the face with a two-by-four.
"Here's a chance for people to step up and say they do care," GALLAGHER told the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM.
