Phil Tower Exits WOOD, Joins Syndicated Show

Longtime CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WOOD-A and WTKG-A/GRAND RAPIDS OM/PD PHIL TOWER is exiting his post to become GM of the syndicated ALLEN HUNT show. 

TOWER, who will remain in GRAND RAPIDS while working with the ATLANTA-based show, tells NBC affiliate WOOD-TV that "I've had my fill of 12-hour days as Operations Manager... (now) I'll work 70 hours a week." He'll stay on with WOOD as a consultant, while APD ANGIE VUYST takes over his old duties on an interim basis.

HUNT's show, based at COX Talk WSB-A/ATLANTA, airs live 9-11p SATURDAYS and 6-9p SUNDAYS and also airs on several other stations, including WOKV-A-F/JACKSONVILLE, WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE, WGUL-A/TAMPA, WHIO-A-F/DAYTON, and KRMG-A/TULSA, as well as SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO's FAMILYNET RADIO channel.
