CLEAR CHANNEL's TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK has inked a multi-year deal to provide real-time traffic for VOLVO models with factory-installed navigation systems. The information will be provided for five 2008 models, the XC90, S40, V50, C70 and C30 cars, with a radio ad campaign on CLEAR CHANNEL stations getting the word out.
"VOLVO, long known for their outstanding safety record, continues to be at the forefront of consumer satisfaction by delivering what their drivers want," said CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO EVP of Distribution Development JEFF LITTLEJOHN. "By offering our real-time traffic service as a standard feature on most models that are navigation-equipped, drivers will not only get to their destination in a safe vehicle, but will be able to avoid road congestion."
"Giving our drivers a heads-up on road conditions with CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO's high-quality real-time traffic data without subscription fees made all the sense in the world to us," said VOLVO President and CEO - VOLVO CARS OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC. ANNE BELEC. "VOLVO drivers have come to expect the highest level of innovation from us, whether it has to do with safety, the environment, or the latest technology. This agreement follows in that tradition."
