Price For CC-Vox Vermont Deal: $11 Million

The purchase price for VOX COMMUNICATIONS CORP.'s purchase of CLEAR CHANNEL's BURLINGTON-PLATTSBURGH cluster and two other VERMONT signals is $11 million, according to the paperwork filed with the FCC. VOX gets Classic Rock WCPV (CHAMP 101.3), Talk simulcast WEAV-A-WXZO (THE ZONE), AC WEZF (STAR 92.9), and Oldies WVTK/BURLINGTON-PLATTSBURGH and Classic Rock WCVR (simulcasting WCPV) and WTSJ-A (simulcasting WEAV-A-WXZO)/RANDOLPH, VT in the deal.
In other deals filed at the FCC, CITADEL is transferring Urban AC KNEK-F (MAGIC 104)/WASHINGTON-LAFAYETTE, LA from the LAST BASTION STATION TRUST back to the company's control for no consideration, and puts Classic Rock KRDJ/NEW IBERIA-LAFAYETTE, LA into the trust. The trust is the repository for stations CITADEL plans to spin off as part of its takeover of ABC RADIO's stations last year.
And PROACTIVE COMMUNICATIONS-FRESNO, LLC is selling Top 40 KVPW (POWER 106)/KINGSBURG, CA-FRESNO to GREGGORY M. MCMILLION's MACKNIFICENT BROADCASTING-FRESNO, LLC for $4.6 million. MCMILLION is 10% shareholder and COO and director of PRO-ACTIVE COMMUNICATIONS, INC., 10% equity owner and 100% voting control holder of the station.
