FCC Releases Complaint Figures For Q1, Q2 2007

The FCC's report on complaints for the first two quarters of 2007 show that indecency and obscenity complaints peaked in JANUARY with 148,281, then fell off drastically to just 1,000 in FEBRUARY and 176 in MARCH. After an increase to 4,055 in APRIL, complaints fell off once again to 212 in MAY and 101 in JUNE.
Indecency complaints represented over 98% of the overall informal complaints fielded by the FCC about radio and TV in first quarter, but fell sharply in second quarter.
