FREEDOM COMMUNICATIONS CBS affiliate WRGB-TV/ALBANY-SCHENECTADY-TROY has filed an objection to 35 noncommercial FM applications in its area, objecting to possible interference with its channel 6 TV signal. The ALBANY TIMES-UNION reports that the station complained in a letter to the FCC on DECEMBER 14th that the proposed stations, applier for during OCTOBER's noncommercial FM filing window, would "create excessive and unnecessary interference to the reception of Channel 6 TV."
WRGB plans to move its digital signal from its present temporary UHF channel 39 location to the station's analog VHF channel 6 position when full-power analog TV broadcasting ends in the U.S. next year.
