JACK ASHTON and LENNY BRONSTEIN's new record label. FLASH MUSIC has signed a deal with JIM ERVIN’s WARRIOR RECORDS/UNIVERSAL MUSIC DISTRIBUTION.
Said ASHTON, "I want to hit a couple of balls out of the park like I did with HALL & OATES when I first got started. Our goal is to help rebuild an industry that has gone through tremendous upheaval over the last 3 or 4 years. FLASH MUSIC, INC hopes to give artists back their own vision with everything under one roof. We want to create, help and support all our acts on every level of marketing and promotion."
BRONSTEIN adds, "JACK & I have crossed paths for years and traveled parallel roads in promotion. We both crave what used to be and what still can be. With the severe downsizing, dismantling and consolidation of so many record companies, we decided to reverse the trend by offering a home to so many acts that are healthy, hard-working and successful, who need complete coverage of promotion, publicity, distribution and who may also need career guidance. My entire history has been about starting, creating, nurturing, advancing and sustaining artists, not songs. Our business has sacrificed longevity and fan recognition for momentary cosmetic chart success. Music is still about emotion, not technology."
