Conclave Launches '08 Scholorship Drive

THE CONCLAVE has launched the 2008 scholarship application drive for the broadcast scholarships & music business scholarships given annually to three nationally recognized educational institutions. Over $61,000 in scholarships will be awarded to those who attend BROWN COLLEGE, (MINNEAPOLIS) SPECS HOWARD SCHOOL OF BROADCAST ARTS (SOUTHFIELD, MI) and MCNALLY SMITH COLLEGE OF MUSIC (ST. PAUL, MN.)
"This year we're excited to offer scholarships valued at more than $61,000," CONCLAVE Exec. Dir. TOM KAY noted, "The broadcast and music industries are at a crossroads and need to look to young educated people to guide them in the future. THE CONCLAVE is thrilled to begin the search for our recipients for 2008."
THE CONCLAVE also boasts a Continuing Education Scholarship valued at $1,500 and three Baccalaureate Scholarships valued at $1,500 each, totaling $6,000. Recipients will be presented at the 2008 LEARNING CONFERENCE -- AT THE CROSSROADS, scheduled for JUNE 26-28th at the MARRIOTT CITY CENTER in MINNEAPOLIS.
CONCLAVE Scholarship committee chair SIOBHAN KIERANS, a past CONCLAVE scholarship recipient herself, commented, "We are extremely grateful that these educational institutions continue to help us in achieving our goals. It’s always great t hear how our scholarship students have impacted the industry after graduation."
