Report: Name Change For Macquarie Regional Radioworks Coming

AUSTRALIA's MACQUARIE REGIONAL RADIOWORKS is changing its name, according to THE AUSTRALIAN, with the company adding the name of SOUTHERN CROSS, the TV stations of which were acquired by MACQUARIE in NOVEMBER, to the group's name. The regional radio and TV operation will be rebadged as MACQUARIE SOUTHERN CROSS MEDIA "within a month," according to the paper.
As part of the merged operations, SOUTHERN CROSS' JEREMY SIMPSON was named Head of National Sales for MACQUARIE's radio and TV stations, with MACQUARIE Sales Dir. DARYL MITCHELL reporting to SIMPSON and overseeing radio sales.
