Former Cincy Sports Talker Furman: I'm Through With Radio

ANDY FURMAN got bounced from CUMULUS' WFTK/CINCINNATI's afternoon shift when the station flipped from "SUPERTALK FM96.5" to Rock last month, and he tells the CINCINNATI ENQUIRER's JOHN KIESEWETTER that "the radio chapter of my life is over." FURMAN, who served as crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Sports WLW-A as "SPORTSTALK" evening host for 18 years before exiting and later joining WFTK, says that he spoke to stations in MIAMI and DALLAS for openings but decided that he didn't want to move. "I love it here. My life is here. My kids like it here. This is my home," he said, explaining that he didn't want to uproot his wife and children from their FLORENCE, KY home.
"I had a good run," added FURMAN, who is looking for public relations, promotions, sales, and marketing positions. "And I want to thank the audience which has been so kind to over the years. I miss them, but life goes on."
