NASH STREET, representing NEW SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS Country WOKK/MERIDIAN, MS, won the 26th ANNUAL COLGATE COUNTRY SHOWDOWN held last night (1/24) at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE. CURB artist LEANN RIMES returned as this year's host. The group, consisting of DANIEL HARE (bass), HANNAH MELBY (fiddle), CAROLINE MELBY (mandolin) and JASON GRAHAM (guitar), was presented with a $100,000 grand prize check and the title of "Best New Act In Country Music."
