The arson that damaged the studios of noncommercial Variety KOOP/AUSTIN and put the station off the air in JANUARY was allegedly set by a station volunteer who was angry that his playlist for an overnight show was changed.
PAUL WEBSTER FEINSTEIN faces second degree felony arson for the fire, which caused $300,000 worth of damages, and could get up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for the incident. Police say FEINSTEIN quit the station five days before the incident, then came back to set the station on fire.
