Davenport Buys Out Partners In Mississippi's Telesouth

STEPHEN DAVENPORT is going from 50% to 100% control of TELESOUTH COMMUNICATIONS with the redemption of shares held by other stockholders for $6 million. DAVENPORT is buying out partners H. BRAND HENLEY, JR., JAMES W. HENLEY, WILL S. HENLEY, II, JOHN H. HENLEY, CHARLES P. HENLEY, and ROSS E. HENLEY $1 million each for the redemption.
TELESOUTH's stations include the Talk "SUPER TALK MISSISSIPPI" network (WFMN/FLORA-JACKSON, WTCD/INDIANOLA, WTNM/WATER VALLEY, WFMM/SUMRALL, WXRZ/CORINTH, WKBB/WEST POINT, WRQO/MONTICELLO); Gospel WKXG-A and Adult Hits WYMX (BOB FM)/GREENWOOD, MS; Hot AC WQLJ (Q-93)/OXFORD, MS; Contemporary Christian WKCU/CORINTH, MS; Oldies WROB-A/WEST POINT, MS; Gospel WOEG-A and Oldies WDXO (DX-92.9)/HAZLEHURST, MS; and a construction permit for a new station in GREENWOOD, MS.
