Underwood Goes 7x Platinum

ARISTA NASHVILLE/19 RECORDINGS star CARRIE UNDERWOOD can add another plaque to her wall. The RIAA has certified that the former "American Idol" winner's debut "Some Hearts" has been certified 7x Platinum, and is now the best selling solo female country debut in RIAA history. With the certification, "Some Hearts" now also surpasses all other releases as the all-time US top-selling album by any "American Idol" contestant.
"Some Hearts" included four #1 country singles, including "Wasted," "Don't Forget to Remember Me," "Before He Cheats," and "Jesus, Take the Wheel."
