BILL RUSCH has worked in the music industry more than three decades, but even he is a bit surprised by his latest project, writes THE KANSAS CITY STAR. Last year RUSCH and his partner ALEX BRAHL were hired by the DENVER band BIG HEAD TODD & THE MONSTERS to promote the band’s new album, "All the Love You Need."
Nothing new there. BRAHL is also a music industry veteran, having produced and managed several bands including THE GET UP KIDS. He also started his own label, CURB APPEAL RECORDS.
What’s profoundly new, though, is how BRAHL MANAGEMENT is promoting "All the Love You Need" -- by giving away 500,000 copies.
"CDs aren’t selling like they used to," said RUSCH. "So instead of focusing on selling a lot of CDs, our larger goal is to tour to a broader market. We want to go to more cities and play for more people."
