A dispute over t-shirts lands ENTERCOM Talk WEEI-A/BOSTON nighttime host MIKE ADAMS and sister WRKO-A new midday host REESE HOPKINS in the BOSTON HERALD's "INSIDE TRACK" gossip column.
ADAMS, upset that the stations ordered t-shirts for HOPKINS while ADAMS has been waiting for shirts promoting his own show, tells the paper that his producer taped ADAMS' name over that of HOPKINS on one of the shirts, and ADAMS took the shirt into PD JASON WOLFE's office. HOPKINS then confronted ADAMS, according to ADAMS' account, but "the situation was defused quickly." HOPKINS denied that there was a confrontation with ADAMS, and ADAMS denied getting into a fight with HOPKINS' producer, who the paper says was fired after complaining to management.
"This whole thing has been blown out of proportion," said ADAMS. "But I will get some T-shirts pretty soon though."
