Brothers Face Charges In Death Of Mississippi Radio Icon

Two brothers face capital murder charges in the beating death of long-time JACKSON radio personality JOHN FRISKILLO, reports THE CLARION LEDGER. JOSH MOTT, 22 and ZACH MOTT, 20, are in the HINDS COUNTY Detention Center without bond. Their initial court appearances are expected today.
The charges against the two were upgraded after FRISKILLO, 81, died SATURDAY as a result of a beating he took when his home was broken into NOVEMBER 29th, according to JACKSON police.
FRISKILLO worked 20 years at WJQS, moved on to WCCL, WKKE and WJNT. When WVIV opened in NOVEMBER 1994, he took over the 4-10a show.
The World War II veteran will be buried THURSDAY in BILOXI NATIONAL CEMETERY.
