CLEAR CHANNEL/LITTLE ROCK will do a frequency flip, and alter a format on MARCH 3rd. VP/Market Manager KIM PYLE announced Country KHKN (106.7 THE WOLF) will make the leap to 105.1 giving it a greater signal. The existing 105.1 tenent, Classic Rock KMJX (MAGIC 105.1) will give 27-year veteran TOM WOOD a chance to launch an Adult Hits station on 106.7, called TOM-FM.
"We could not be more thrilled with the overwhelming listener and advertiser support we have for Country radio in the marketplace. THE WOLF has been wildly successful and the perfect companion station to our #1 station KSSN," said PYLE. "By allowing THE WOLF to make the leap to 105.1, we can now provide even greater coverage and give more listeners in CENTRAL ARKANSAS an opportunity to be a part of THE WOLF."
"With THE WOLF change, we now have a chance to let the legendary TOM WOOD showcase his talent in an Adult Hits format on 106.7," said RVP/Programming PHIL HUNT. "We’re going to call the station TOM-FM after TOM WOOD and his famous Brown Bagger Show. The new TOM-FM will say hello to unparalleled music variety presented in an anti-radio manner. What’s an anti-radio manner? You’ll just have to tune into 106.7 and find out."
