Senate Commerce Committee member MARK PRYOR (D-OK) criticized FCC Chairman KEVIN MARTIN at the NAB's annual State Leadership Conference in WASHINGTON TODAY (2/26).
PRYOR, discussing the 700 mHz auction that he described as "fouled up" by the Commission, said of the agency, "Maybe it's always been this way, but under his leadership, it seems particularly secretive, and he carries an agenda into their agenda." The Senator said that members of both parties are frustrated with MARTIN and that "it is very important that the FCC function properly and that it has the very best public policy possible. The FCC needs to get public policy right."
