PROMETHEUS RADIO PROJECT and MEDIA ACCESS PROJECT are taking another run against the FCC's proposed changes to the cross-ownership rules, filing an appeal in federal court to get the new rules thrown out. The appeal, filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, looks to block the Commission from relaxing the rules to allow more common newspaper-broadcast ownership.
PROMETHEUS and MAP were the plaintiffs in the case that got a previous FCC ownership rules revision thrown out in the same circuit.
