JONES RADIO NETWORKS has hired CHUCK LEARY to do nights for the Good Time Oldies format. The 35-year radio veteran has been working on Good Time Oldies as a part-time on-air personality known as CHARLIE APPLES, but will use the name CHUCK LEARY in his new full-time gig.
"I had the pleasure of first working with CHUCK in the early ‘90s at DENVER's Country giant KYGO when he was an integral part of the morning "Waking Crew" show," OM JJ MCKAY said. "I am so happy to have been afforded this opportunity to work with him again on a format he now calls home -- Good Time Oldies."
The move also enables former evening host DAVE SANDERS of "DAVE’s Diner" to move to mornings. "Dave brings with him the same fun, energetic delivery his listeners came to know during the Diner hours," MCKAY said. "He will still have features like the BEATLES Buffet, his famous contests, as well as some new show additions that will bring more spice to the weekday mornings."
