You can't say "B.S." -- the full word -- on the air without risking an FCC fine, and ENTERCOM Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON's TOM FINNERAN didn't say the word... ON the air, that is.
He did, however, curse at a caller, and while the word was dumped before it was broadcast, listeners to the station's Internet feed got an earful. The incident caught the notice of BRIAN MALONEY, the proprietor of the SAVE WRKO blog, and the unexpurgated audio is now posted here.
For the station's part, WRKO PD JASON WOLFE told the BOSTON HERALD that the incident made "excellent radio...(it's) exactly what our listeners are looking for. He was arguing with (CITIZENS FOR LIMITED TAXATION's) BARBARA ANDERSON. She wouldn’t let him make a point to her, so he cut her off. He was aggravated and told the producers to get ready to bleep him out. Then he said he would not stand for her BS. They edited him. Nothing made the air and it was excellent radio, exactly what our listeners are looking for. The show was outstanding."
