More youth and adults alike are picking up the guitar as their instrument of choice, inspired by the popular GUITAR HERO video game franchise and similar music and instrument -based video games. These popular video games have driven sales of guitars to a record-setting multi-billion dollar level over the past few years.
ENVISION RADIO NETWORKS’ CHOP SHOP GUITAR SHOW examines the success of GUITAR HERO with a free one-hour radio special. PETE LOEFFLER (CHEVELLE), LESLIE WEST (MOUNTAIN), TONY ROMBOLLA (GODSMACK) and GESON HATCHETT OF HARDCORE GAMER MAGAZINE are among the guests that will join host STEVE BLACK (WRIF/DETROIT) to discuss the positive and negative impact of GUITAR HERO on the music industry. The special also features music from GUITAR HERO, including "Sweet Child ‘O Mine," "Shout At The Devil," "Train Kept a Rollin’" and more!
THE CHOP SHOP GUITAR HERO RADIO SPECIAL is available via Internet download for broadcast the week of MARCH 31st. Contact REBECCA PIXLEY (216) 831-3761 for complete details.
