The freshly-renamed, revamped minor league baseball QUAD CITIES RIVER BANDITS will move to MILLER MEDIA GROUP Easy Listening WYEC (YOUR EASY CHOICE 93.9 FM)/CAMBRIDGE, IL this season in the first year of a three-year deal. The RIVER BANDITS are returning to that name from SWING OF THE QUAD CITIES, the name they used for the past several seasons. The team was heard last season on QUAD CITIES MEDIA's WKBF-A. BEN CHISWICK returns to the booth as play-by-play announcer, the only full-time staffer to remain with the franchise through the name and management change.
"Adding RIVER BANDITS baseball to our programming is a great enhancement to our station," said REGIONAL RADIO GROUP Dir./Sales and Marketing FLETCH FORD. "The new RIVER BANDITS management has an ambitious vision for what baseball in the QUAD CITIES can become, and they are committed to achieving great things. We're glad to be able to get in on the ground floor of what promises to be an exciting new day for baseball in the QUAD CITIES."
"We are excited to enter into a long-term relationship between 93.9 FM and the RIVER BANDITS," said RIVER BANDITS Assistant GM of Corporate Sales CORY HOWERTON. "We really believe in the power of radio, so it was important to us to be able to achieve consistency with our flagship station. We are proud to partner with the REGIONAL RADIO GROUP, give our sponsors a much larger listening audience, and give our expanding fan base the chance to hear RIVER BANDITS baseball all summer."
