MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER's L.A. GALAXY moves its game broadcasts to CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KLAC-A/LOS ANGELES this season, with some games bumped by LAKERS games and other conflicts to sister Talk KTLK-A. JOE TUTINO returns for his 11th season as the team's English-language radio voice. A minimum of 24 game broadcasts are planned for the season, including either a 30 minute pre- or post-game show with every match. The broadcasts start with the season opener on MARCH 29th in COLORADO, to be aired on KTLK. The GALAXY, featuring DAVID BECKHAM, was previously heard on Talk XEPE-A (SAN DIEGO 1700)/SAN DIEGO.
"We are pleased to be partnering with the top sports talk stations in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA," said GALLAXY Assistant General Manager TOM PAYNE. "AM 570 will give all of our fans the latest information and insight on the Galaxy throughout the 2008 season. We are also happy to welcome back JOE TUTINO, who will once again return as the official voice of the GALAXY."
"We are very excited about the Galaxy joining the AM 570 KLAC family," KLAC GM/PD DON MARTIN added. "They have a tremendous, passionate following in LOS ANGELES and it's an honor and a pleasure to be the voice of the team. We welcome GALAXY fans everywhere to AM 570 KLAC."
