MSPOT, a mobile music services company, has teamed with NAVTEQ's TRAFFIC.COM to bring live traffic content to MSPOT RADIO. MSPOT subscribers will receive a mobile optimized version of TRAFFIC.COM's live JAMCAST audio traffic reports for more than 30 U.S. cities. MSPOT is implementing an ad-based model offered by TRAFFIC.COM and will receive a share of advertising revenue in return for distribution across mobile operators carrying MSPOT RADIO.
"The structure of this deal is the right model for MSPOT going forward, allowing us to keep improving content programming without budgetary constraint," said MSPOT Co-Founder/CEO DAREN TSUI. "It marks MSPOT's initial move into ad supported content, which allows us to provide our listeners with more options, while also providing MSPOT an additional revenue stream."
