Edmonton Says 'Goodbye Earl'

NEWCAP Country CKRA (BIG EARL 96.3)/EDMONTON has flipped to Classic Hits as "96.3 CAPITAL FM." The flip occurred FRIDAY at 3p. The station had been Country since DECEMBER 2005. 

"BIG EARL" PD JACKIE RAE has already headed over to sister Country COCW-A/EDMONTON, while the new "CAPITAL FM" PD CRAIG FEE comes in APRIL 14th from his APD post at CORUS RADIO Rock CFMI/VANCOUVER. "BIG EARL" afternooner JASON ROBERTS and morning news reporter KARI SKELTON will now take over for mornings at "CAPITAL FM," as morning duo GREG SHANNON and TERA LEE exit. No word on where they are headed.

"BIG EARL" middayer ABBEY WHITE has already taken the PD slot at NEWCAP sister Country CHNK (HANK-FM)/WINNEPEG. Night jock TIM RIESS will stay put, as will KRISTY SCOTT for weekends. CRAIG FEE is already looking for a middayer and afternooner, so send your stuff to cfee@newcap.ca.  

As of now, "CAPITAL FM" is only running a morning show, with the rest of the airshifts to begin at an undecided later date.
