The price for CLEAR CHANNEL's sale of four stations in COOKEVILLE, TN -- Classic Country WHUB-A, Top 40 WGIC (MAGIC 98.5), Country WGSQ (THE COUNTRY GIANT), and Talk WPTN-A -- plus a local cable TV channel to GREAT PLAINS MEDIA is costing the buyer $7.5 million cash, according to the paperwork filed with the FCC for the deal. GREAT PLAINS MEDIA is headed by JEROME R. ZIMMER and owns clusters in BLOOMINGTON, IL, TOPEKA, and LAWRENCE, Ks.
In other deals filed with the FCC, AURIO A. MATOS BARRETO is selling 100% of the stock of SIEMBRA FERTIL P.R., INC., licensee of noncommercial Spanish Contemporary Christian WJDZ (PLENITUD FM)/PASTILLO, PR and WNNV (PLENITUD FM)/SAN GERMAN, PR to JUAN ESTEBAN DIAZ (59%) and JOSE OMAR PEREZ (41%) for $800,000.
COLLEGE CREEK MEDIA, LLC is selling new Country sign-on KQPI/ABERDEEN, ID to SANDHILL MEDIA GROUP for $1.1 million plus an LMA before closing. The station signed on last week, serving the POCATELLO area.
AMANECER CHRISTIAN NETWORK, INC. is selling Spanish Religion WOIR-A/HOMESTEAD, FL to MARIO GARCIA's GARCIA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $660,000 and assumption of debt.
And LIVING PROOF, INC. is donating FM translator K246AR/GREEN VALLEY LAKE, CA (in the mountains between LAKE ARROWHEAD and BIG BEAR LAKE) to CALVARY CHAPEL OF REDLANDS, INC. The translator will rebroadcast CALVARY CHAPEL OF COSTA MESA's Religion KWVE/SAN CLEMENTE, CA.
