ALL ACCESS has confirmed that TRIBUNE BROADCASTING, who on WEDNESDAY (NET NEWS 4/2) hired former CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO/PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS VP/Programming SEAN COMPTON as SVP/Programming and Entertainment, has dipped into the CC talent pool again, bringing aboard CFO JERRY KERSTING, SVP/Programming MARC CHASE and STEVE GABLE, who worked in IT at the company.
In CLEAR CHANNEL's quarterly conference call, CEO JOHN HOGAN alluded to their departures by noting that it was a "good opportunity for them, plus an opportunity for others in this company to move up and put a different set of eyes on things."
ALL ACCESS has learned that JERRY KERSTING's last day is TODAY, as is MARC CHASE's. The company will not replace KERSTING's position, but has promoted VP/Finance JEFF RICE to SVP/Finance And Accounting. RICE will now oversee finance and accounting at the company. “JEFF brings tremendous financial acumen, professional experience and considerable knowledge to our team,” said CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO Pres./CEO JOHN HOGAN.
“JEFF is truly a great asset to our business and he will serve a pivotal role in guiding all of CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO’s accounting and financial operations.”
VIERO and RCS, which formerly reported to KERSTING, will now report to PREMIERE Pres./COO CHARLIE RAHILLY. RAHILLY, is reportedly close to naming a new person to replace VP/Programming at CC and PREMIERE SEAN COMPTON.
KERSTING also oversaw mergers and acquisitions -- a duty that VP/Corporate Development DIRK ELLER will take over, reporting to Pres./CFO RANDALL MAYS.
The RVP position that MARC CHASE held is in the process of being filled.
