San Diego U-T Internet Station To Cut Staff
April 7, 2008 at 12:59 PM (PT)
ALL ACCESS hears that the SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE's attempt to create a local internet-only radio station has hit financial difficulties that will result in the station's professional announcing staff being laid off as of APRIL 18th. The station's lineup included local radio veterans DAVE MASON (who also served as Station Manager) and CHARLIE AND HARRIGAN. SIGN ON RADIO, streamed through the COPLEY daily's SIGN ON SAN DIEGO website, will continue with music programming and some shows that will provide their own board ops or work through automation.
That leaves a staff of SAN DIEGO radio pros looking for their next opportunities; reach MASON at email@example.com for more information.
