GAPWest Converts LMAs To Buys In Idaho

GAPWEST is buying Classic Rock KSNQ (THE SNAKE)/TWIN FALLS, ID from INTERMART BROADCASTING for $83,800 cash and cancellation of a promissory note currently $941,465.62 outstanding. GAP is exercising an option to buy the station it inherited from CLEAR CHANNEL; CC has been LMAing the station since its 2004 sign-on.
GAPWEST is also buying AAA KEGE (THE EDGE 92.1)/POCATELLO, ID from INTERMART for $95,000 and cancellation of a promissory note currently $992,427 outstanding. Like in the case of KSNQ, GAP is exercising an option to buy the station it inherited from CLEAR CHANNEL, which has been operating the station under an LMA since its sign-on last JULY.
In other deals filed with the FCC, SALT AND LIGHT RADIO, INC. is buying silent KDJQ-A/MERIDIAN-BOISE, ID from KDJQ, LLC for $700,000. The station went silent last SEPTEMBER and briefly returned for about a week in DECEMBER; it was previously Regional Mexican OYE 890 but a sale to CHURCHILL MEDIA failed to close and owner ROB COMBS placed an ad offering the station for sale on CRAIGSLIST.
ATLANTIC COAST RADIO, L.L.C. is selling WWBK-A/BRUNSWICK. ME to BOB BITTNER's BLUE JEY BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. for $27,000 cash. The station currently simulcasts the Sports programming of sister WJJB-A-F (WJAB)/PORTLAND.
JALO BROADCASTING CORP. is selling silent daytimer WEEL-A/DOTHAN, AL to DOTHAN BROADCASTING, LLC for $246,589.12, $13,000 down and the rest in a promissory note. The station has been silent since last AUGUST and was Oldies before that.
And a construction permit for a new FM in MORGANFIELD, KY is being sold by SAINT ANN RADIO GROUP, INC. to BISHOP COMMUNITY RADIO for $16,000.
